Spruce Pine Trees for Sale

Mountian Spruce Pine Tree
Not long ago I commented on the creative names stores are giving to artificial trees, obviously to avoid that dreadful word "Christmas."

Last weekend at Home Depot I saw a whole new species for sale: a "Spruce Pine" tree. It's even on their website, a "Mountian" Spruce Pine tree, no less.

Maybe we ought to work in the evolution/ID controversy somehow to explain this unusual speciation event.

Meanwhile, Doug at Stones Cry Out tells of a completely different tree story at Lowes.

(Note: Home Depot's website apparently uses dynamic, changing web addresses. The links here may not take you directly to the item pictured. Just search for "spruce pine tree.")
