Hallelujah! Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed!
Yay, Jesus! You rise, you rise.
Thank you so much, for calling it “Resurrection Day”. My path in christian life has been quite twisty and often confusing. In my early days I was influenced by a group which did not hold fundamental evangelical views. Today I consider that group a cult. As such, they felt it important to disparage mainstream Christians wherever they could. This included researching and finding out the most damaging information about the origins and histories of Christian holidays, such as Easter and Christmas. Though I have long since left that group behind, what I was taught about these holidays has continued to influence my thinking, and has always prevented me from simply celebrating and enjoying these days. Recently, I have been trying to redeem these holidays in my own heart. One thing that has helped has been to call Easter “Resurrection Day”, so that there is no doubt that I am NOT talking about eggs and bunnies.
This site is new to me, and I am quite enjoying it. Thank you.
