In Search of a Fast Reliable High-Capacity Web Host

This blog was down for about 12 hours today for reasons completely beyond my control. I couldn’t even get into the virtual control panel.

Still searching for an affordable but very fast cpanel web host.

I use Bluehost and am happy with them.

FWIW, I’d advise against 50webs.com, as that is who I *was* with. Only takes a few downtimes before you’re like… whaaa…? And it’s not like I was high-traffic or anything! When you find something, let me know, maybe I’ll jump on that bandwagon too…

I use Bluehost for several sites, but my blog bogged down there. I’m going to contact them and see if they have an upgraded speed option available.

I host over 60 websites with Rackspace and never go down. You won’t get Cpanel access but you will get stability. Check out some of our clients at http://www.davisservicesgroup.com and contact me there if you are interested in hosting.

The changeover is complete. Now I’m testing to see whether the comments function is working right.

This is Tom testing the comments again, without being logged in

I’m starting to wonder if the previous “weirdness” is back.

You could check out ExchangeCore.com. They have a 99% uptime guarentee and the support staff is always sure you know about any scheduled maintenance that may effect your site.

Thanks, all, I think I’m satisfied back at Bluehost again with some upgrades and with a Content Delivery Network.

Hi, I see you are now happy again with your host, but if you do decide to change again I personally cant recommend TSOHost ( http://tsohost.com ) enough. They have super fast servers, and a wide range of packages to suit everybody. They can even help migrate your website from your old host, to them. Also if you like them, and do decide to sign up on them, use the code jamesosix to grab 10% off any hosting package! The longer you get it for, the more you will save 😀 Best of luck 🙂
