If some scientists or (or science journalists) were more broadly educated, they would hardly be able to make a mistake as basic as this one, analyzed today by Paul at Exiled from Groggs.
Or maybe they would say the same thing anyway, given their antipathy to Intelligent Design. If, however, the rest of us were more broadly educated–knowing, say, what evolution actually teaches, what ID actually proposes, and how to analyze an argument–they would never actually get away with it in public.
