4. Sample/Suggested Questions for Interviewers

  1. “You say in the book’s intro, ‘This isn’t your everyday Bible study method.’ You sure came to some fresh new conclusions. What is this not-everyday Bible study method you used?”
  2. “Who is this book for?”
  3. “I think readers are going to find lots of surprises as they read this book. Did you run into any big surprises as you were writing it?”
  4. “You’ve got seven chapters in Part One of the book, all under the heading, ‘Greater Than You Knew.’ So it’s all about Jesus being greater than we’ve realized. Could you give an example from one of those chapters?” [(Or more than one example, if you want to hang out there.)]
  5. “Looking at your title to Part 2. It’s also the title of the book: Too Good to be False. Here’s where you put forth a case for the historicity of the Gospels, and it’s not one you hear very often. Could you summarize it?”
  6. “Are any skeptics pushing back on it, and what are they saying?”
  7. “What about impact on Christians? Are you hearing any life-change stories?”
  8. “You titled Part Three, ’Jesus, No Matter What.’ What’s that about?” (Optional: “What do you have to say to people who think it’s going too far to say it’s Jesus, and only Jesus?”)
