Not Quite Back Yet

I've been out of touch for a while, on a family camping trip to the Blue Ridge over the weekend. No computers, no cell phone--not bad! And it was beautiful. Unfortunately it was extremely hot, and in the last day or so I came down with a virus. That's a bad combination.

A few hours after we got home, I was running a fever of 103.6° F. (39.8° C.). It bought me an ambulance ride to the hospital in the middle of the night. The doctor didn't say what kind of virus it was, but I have determined independently it was the HBWAV, which stands for "Hoo, boy, what a virus!" They sent me home about 7 hours later with the promise it would get better in 2 to 5 days.

Thankfully, besides fever and extreme fatigue, other symptoms are few. But I'm not up to catching up on the blog yet, other than this quick note. I noticed the comments have been somewhat active, and I'm glad to see the fun is continuing without me!

We've had lively debate here about the power of prayer. I can point to many blessings even in a time like this, and for those of you who believe in it, I thank you in advance for praying I'll get over this soon. I'll be back here as soon as I can.
