Of Math and the Universe 


Charlie's comment early this morning deserves wider exposure. Here's an excerpt, part of what he quoted from this article in Christianity today:

Because of the serendipitous elegance of this formula (e^(π*i)+1=0), a mathematics professor at MIT, an atheist, once wrote this formula on the blackboard, saying, "There is no God, but if there were, this formula would be proof of his existence."  

This would be interesting enough to link to on its own, but it also bears on our recent topic of mind and matter.
