"God of the Gaps" Comments

Some of the comments on last night's entry need more public visibility:

SteveK: "So, according to the critics, it seems 'God did it' is both forbidden and required as an answer." (See the whole comment for context.)

Charlie gave us a link to David Snoke, "In Favor of God-of-the-Gaps Reasoning."

Macht wrote,

"Another way of putting it is that scientific laws tell us all the time about what can't happen (e.g., we know that perpetual motion is impossible because of scientific laws). If we ever discovered scientific laws that implied that, say, living things couldn't arise from non-living things, then the very existence of living things would be evidence of a 'gap' in nature."

Is there an Internet source for the Del Ratzsch article that Charlie, Macht, and Larmer referred to?
