More Infringements of Academic Freedom

Yesterday I mentioned two cases of serious infringement of academic freedom on college campuses, in regard to Intelligent Design.

Now I find out there's more.

Denyse O'Leary details additional cases at Baylor University, Mississippi University for Women, The Ohio State University, and San Francisco State University.

There's also George Mason University and the Smithsonian Institute.

It's growing, obviously. I think this is a good sign for ID advocates, in the long run. If academics are unwilling to allow discussion on a theoretical topic, it usually means they don't think they're in position to win. They resort to the power of rank and position when they lack confidence in the power of their ideas.

But I grieve for those who are personally suffering under this intellectual bigotry, and I pray for them.
