An Ordinary Christian CarnivalI live just a few miles south of Ordinary,
Virginia. It's a plain little place. Actually, not. There's an inn there that
has been in operation almost continually since George Washington stopped by on
his way to visit his grandparents. I've had dinner there twice on very special
occasions. In colonial days, roadside inns like this were called "ordinaries;"
hence the name of the town.
The Evangelical Ecologist called this week's
Christian Carnival "An Ordinary
Christian Carnival." Sometimes the seeming ordinary can hide the
