I saw it again this morning: Nabeel Qureshi and David Wood were “obviously intending to make a scene” when they were arrested for sharing Christ at Dearborn last week. That charge has been made on multiple blogs, none of which I care to link to. These blogs make it sound as if they went there planning to do something wrong.
Let’s be clear. What they went there to do was perfectly legal, and in any other city in America would have gone unnoticed. It happens everywhere, all the time. They accosted no one; in fact, they didn’t even approach anyone. They conversed in an amicable manner with people who approached them. Based on all the information anyone has access to, there could only have been a “scene” made there if someone responded inappropriately.
And based on the information we all have access to, there was indeed a “scene.” Qureshi and Wood were involved in it, and they caught it on video. But they didn’t make it.
I’m quite sure they would rather it hadn’t come out the way it did: not that they did something wrong, but that some others apparently did. The reason for the video is to try to keep it from happening here again.

The accommodating, win-em-with-kindness, tolerance-flaunting West gives two groups virtual free rein — Muslims and homosexuals. The tolerant West readily accepts the notion of “Muslim nations” while finding “Christian nations” to be a repugnant notion.
In a similar vein, we draw a circle around homosexuals and refuse to criticize them for behaviors that in other contexts would be condemned. I recall some Christians who were censured for being Christian (i.e., “witnessing”) in a public park that had been taken over by homosexuals.
A quick Google search found this, but I’m not sure this is the event I was thinking of.

It seems that it is becoming illegal to be Christian in public. Perhaps this is why the Obamadmin prefers the term “freedom of worship” to “freedom of religion”.
