I just told my son, “It’s time to get up out of bed.” He rolled over to look at me and said, “that may be true.” I answered, “If I say it’s true, that makes it true. Because truth is relative, I’m your dad, and I’m the relative who says it’s true!”

    For the sake of new readers here, a reminder that I filed this under “just for fun.” Neither my son nor I believe in relativism; we both know that truth is what truth is. He got a good laugh out of it. (Whether he’s gotten up yet, though, I don’t know.)
