Online Chat Session Thursday Evening

Mark your calendar for this blog’s first online chat this Thursday evening, April 30 at 9:00 pm EDT, with special guest Catherine Claire Larson, author of As We Forgive: Stories of Reconciliation from Rwanda. This is your chance to ask her about Rwanda, the genocide, the restoration following, and her experiences in discovering the story that I’ve been writing about this week.

No new software or special login is required to join the chat. Just come to the blog home page at the time we begin or a little earlier. You’ll enter your user name (chat name), no password required, and then you can begin. Late arrivals may also participate.

I’m looking for a volunteer to help record the chat. The chat software I’m using is great for real-time user-friendliness, but as far as I can tell it does not have an easy way to keep a record of the entire conversation. It saves maybe 50 lines at a time, and then begins to drop off the earlier lines. So we need someone to do regular copying/pasting to preserve the chat for us. Please leave a comment here if you can do that for us. Thanks.

Sorry I won’t be able to make it, Tom, but I look forward to reading the author’s comments and hearing about the inspirational work Christ has done in the lives of those affected by the tragedy.
