Request for Prayer

I’m having a pulmonary function test done this morning, to try to sort out why I haven’t recovered fully from pneumonia yet. (It started in early January.) Please pray for some good answers to come from this. Thanks!

It went well, there were indeed some good answers, more to come. Thanks for praying, those who have done so.

Thanks again for all the prayers! We’re making good progress on this now, finally. I think yesterday was the point where I was probably “at the bottom looking up.”

I got my pneumonia by way of stress — which adds the exponent to a bad cold or flu. A lesson that forces you to wear the stupid patch, the one that says “I don’t know what ‘take it easy’ means.” You slap that on your forehead before you see the doctor…;-)

Please pray for the woman God has brought into my life…. I believe that there is a lot of opposition from the enemy because she is the one I have trusted God to choose for me. The relationship is long distance and she has many hurts from her past for which she needs healing.

Please pray for divine healing and that she too would learn to trust God and if this is His will, that we will come together as man and wife.

    V.,

I have edited some personal information out of your prayer request, because the person you mentioned may not prefer any hints of her identity being revealed on this forum.

I also want you to know that I have been in a situation much like yours, and I have also spent much time counseling men who thought sure they knew the will of God for a relationship. I regret to say that they were not always right. I will pray for the person you have named, but also for you, that the will of God would be clear to you. It can be very confusing when it comes to relationships. I’m not saying your situation is the same as these others I’ve had experience with. And some of those experiences, including my own marriage now, and that of others I’ve counseled with, have been very, very positive. I just know that there’s a stage in the process when it’s very easy to be confused, so I’ll pray for God to lead you both with clarity.
