Yesterday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the United States. My wife and son joined in a celebration of the day at a Black church not far from where we live (I would have gone if not for this).
Today we inaugurated an African-American President. Regardless of one’s party politics, regardless of how one views the new President’s policies and plans, we can all celebrate the marvelous and positive change in our country this represents. Racial discrimination has not ended, but the progress we’ve made cannot be denied.
May justice and righteousness increase!
