Christians, wake up! It makes a difference how we live!

Just listened to a talk by Os Guinness about the subject of hypocrisy and living according to your Christian beliefs. It’s called The One Unanswerable Objection to the Christian Faith: Christians. Listen to it here.

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny

As a general rule I think this is true. Everything you said above is interrelated. The bible certainly teaches this truth – that we often give in to the desires of our heart and thus act out and become someone we should not be (or *should* be if the desires are good ones). Romans 12 is a good reference.

I’m glad you quoted from Jennifer’s blog. She’s one of my favorite – next to you, of course Those unfamiliar with Jen should check it out. Her journey from atheism to Christianity was put to cyberpaper and you can follow along as she struggled with the whole thing. She’s a talented writer too.
