When I gave a talk called Awesome Christ a few weeks ago, I felt it necessary to limit the complexity somewhat in view of the specific audience. This morning at the Chapel at Kingsmill I gave the same talk, updated. With a different audience, and more time to develop the message, it’s a better talk this time—with a surprise ending, in fact.
Key point: “If these were the only two things I knew about Jesus Christ, on just that basis alone I would have to consider him the most astonishing person in all of human history.”
(Audio-aware listeners will notice that I re-dubbed the first sentence in a different room. This was because of noise on the original.)
